How to Draw Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 Step by Step

In this drawing tutorial, we will show you how to draw a car Mercedes Benz S-Class W222 step by step. This tutorial will be simple enough, and in the end, we will get a fairly realistic car drawing.

The process of drawing a car in this tutorial will be slightly different from what we have previously shown in our other tutorials about drawing cars.

So, if your art supplies are ready, then let’s get down to the tutorial on how to draw a car step by step.

Step 1
To draw a car, you first need to draw its basic outlines of the body. Use light lines to draw the boundaries of the body, marking the hood, bark, trunk, and other important general parts.

Step 2

Add the biggest and most noticeable details such as headlights, radiator grille, wheel arches, and window frames. In order to check the correctness of your car drawing, you can look at it through a mirror.

Step 3

We continue to add large general details of drawing. Draw the air intakes at the bottom of the front bumper. Next, sketch the B-pillar and rearview mirror. In the wheel arches, sketch out the wheels with very smooth lines.

Step 4

On the side of the body, sketch out the doors and the location of the door handles. Next, use very light lines to sketch the pattern of the rims. Add more detail to the grille and air intakes.

Step 5

With very clear and dark lines, trace and correct the outlines of the front of the car. Draw the license plate and lines on the radiator grille and air intakes. Use very neat lines to detail everything as done.

Step 6

Now do the same work with the top of the car. With darker and clearer lines, detail the roof, windows, and rearview mirror. As you draw the parts of the car in detail, delete unnecessary construction lines drawn before.

Step 7

Go down a little lower and draw in detail the side surface of the car and the visible part of the trunk. Give the handles more detail and don’t forget to draw a couple of decorative lines on the side of the car body.

Step 8

This step will be a little more difficult than the previous ones because here you will need to draw wheels and rims. Be very careful that the wheels are smooth and the spokes are evenly spaced from the center to the edges.

Step 9

Add shadows to give the car drawing a more voluminous and convincing look. Shadows should be drawn using hatching, taking into account the shape and curves of the car parts. This will give your car drawing the most three-dimensional and realistic look.

If you have completed drawing a car, then it’s time to consolidate your knowledge and take it to the next level.

First, try adding more complex shadows to give your car drawing an even more voluminous look. Next, try drawing a car from different angles. This will train your volume perception skill and teach you how to draw cars equally beautifully regardless of point of view.
